Presenter. Broadcaster. Lifestyle Expert. And a woman who knows that the best stories usually happen when the camera is rolling.
I'm Katy Pullinger, a television presenter, broadcaster and voiceover artist with more than 20 years' experience in live television.
I'm currently one of the main presenters on QVC UK, where I've built a loyal relationship with viewers and present across fashion, beauty, home, food and lifestyle. I'm also the presenter of my own fashion show, Morning Style with Katy, where I get to indulge one of my biggest passions: helping women find clothes that make them feel fantastic.
But television has been part of my life for much longer than QVC.
My career began with a work experience placement at MTV, which led to a behind-the-scenes role in television and sparked a love affair with live broadcasting. From there I moved into live shopping, presenting three-hour live shows five days a week — probably the toughest and best presenting training I could have asked for.
I went on to present live entertainment and interactive programmes for ITV1 and ITV2, including Playdate, Glitterball and Make Your Play, before becoming a live continuity announcer for ITV1. I spent two years speaking live to the nation, introducing everything from The X Factor to the Queen's Christmas Speech and the UK's first live leaders' election debate.
Alongside television, I've built a career in voiceover, working on campaigns and projects for brands including Marks & Spencer, Nintendo and Vauxhall, as well as television, radio and corporate work.
Today, my world is all about lifestyle.
I'm passionate about fashion, but I'm equally happy talking about interiors, cooking, food, beauty, gardening or the things that make everyday life a little more enjoyable. I love discovering great products and, more importantly, working out how they can genuinely make someone's life better.
I'm also increasingly passionate about life for women in their 40s and beyond. I'm a presenter, a mum of two girls and a wife, and I know first-hand that midlife can be brilliant, exciting, messy, overwhelming and liberating — sometimes all before lunchtime.
That's one of the reasons I created The 40+ Life Podcast, where I have honest conversations with women about everything from menopause and health to careers, relationships, grief, style and reinvention.
Away from work, I'm happiest with my family on the South Coast, preferably near the sea. I'm a keen cook, love interiors and styling, and have a longstanding appetite for adventure. I've scuba-dived, cage-dived with great white sharks, jumped out of a plane and travelled everywhere from Barbados to post-war Sierra Leone.
I've never been particularly good at sitting still.
And after more than two decades in front of the camera, I'm still happiest when there's a red light on.
